DTSTART:20101002T040000Z
DTEND:20101003T035959Z
LOCATION:Thataways Youth Center
DESCRIPTION:Sign With Your Baby classes are designed to give parents the knowledge and tools to teach their hearing babies how to communicate through American Sign Language. The session is taught by Rebecca Chavis, certified Sign2Me instructor and interpreter with Alamance Burlington School System. Teaching infants to sign is easy and has many benefits; the most important is early communication. Teaching your baby to use signs will reduce the guesswork you have to do as a parent, because your child will be able to express their wants and feelings. It will also reduce temper tantrums! Studies have shown that babies who learn to sign also have larger vocabularies than their non-signing peers and at age 6, generally have higher IQ&#39s! For more information, please call 437-5643 or visit www.sign2me.com. To register, please call 222-5134. Space is limited. There will be no class October 23rd and 30th.
