Come dance like there's no one watching! Join us for a fun morning of line dancing where we will be instructed by Carol Oakley. There is no charge for this event. Transportation is not provided. We will meet at Thataways Youth Center at 10am and are expected to end around 12pm. Please register online or at the BRPD main office no later than March 21 at 12pm. This program is for those with special needs. Participants must be 18 years and older. Please wear comfortable tennis shoes and come ready to boogie!

Burlington Recreation and Parks's Thataways is excited to see all local middle school students dressed to impress at this year's Spring Fling. Activities for the night included: selfie station, dancing, prizes, and corn hole. Arcade games, billiards and concessions will be available for a small cost. A parent/guardian MUST register each participant upon entry and sign out at pick up to participate. Join us every Saturday from 10am-12pm January 19 through April 6 at Country Club Lanes West for our 12 week bowling league. The Incredi-Bowls Bowling League is open for those with special needs ages 5 and older. The fee is $50 per person. The fee will include two games and shoe rentals each Saturday. Also included is a league t-shirt and an awards banquet with pizza, drinks and trophies held at the end of the 12 weeks. All participants must have a buddy to assist them at all times and participants must be able to participate. For more information, please call (336) 222-5072. Join us as we travel to Durham, NC to view and learn about the beautiful horticulture at Duke Gardens. After our tour, we will stop at Southpoint Mall for shopping and lunch. The cost is $12 for each special needs participant. There is no charge for parents or caregivers. Lunch and shopping costs are the responsibility of the participant and/or parent/caregiver. Each participant under the age of 18 years must have a parent/caregiver with them. Please park in the marked spaces between the baseball field and grassy area. We will load from the sidewalk at 9:10am. We are expected to return no later than 3:00pm. Please register online or at the BRPD Main Office no later than March 28 at 12pm.
