    Plan now to join the City of Burlington for “Maple Talks,” part of a new initiative to design the future of Maple Avenue through the Maple Avenue Corridor Plan. This informative gathering will enlighten and entertain as national experts share best practices for community revitalization, real estate, economics, and complete streets. Maple Talks is an informal event sharing important “ideas worth spreading.” Come as you are and be part of the exciting movement to bring back Maple Avenue. Maple Talks will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 5:30pm at the Paramount Theater in downtown Burlington.     Get hiking on local trails around Burlington. Expect natural surface trails, rolling terrain with a few steep hills and a moderate pace. Wear comfortable walking shoes (closed-toed) or boots. Bring a water bottle and bug spray. Suitable for ages 8+ (ages 8-16 must be accompanied by an adult). Dogs welcome! Free, but registration required!

    Enjoy a leisurely, guided paddle on beautiful Mackintosh Lake. Your stress will melt away as you paddle under the setting sun. Paddlers will have a guide who provides basic instruction as needed and leads the group on the lake. Fee includes guides, boat rental, paddle, PFD. Fee: $20/person or $8 if you provide your own boat. Registration required.
