The Kernodle Senior Center is closed to the public until further notice. All classes, events and activities are also cancelled until further notice. The City of Burlington will continue to evaluate and modify the closure and cancellation schedule as necessary. For complete info on the City's response to CORVID-19 click here.

Operation Heat Relief 2020
If you live in Alamance Country, are 60 years old or better, or with a disability and have a home situation in need of a fan, you are eligible to receive one box fan. Fans for heat relief are made possible through contributions from Dominion Resources, Duke Energy Carolinas, and Duke Energy Progress through the Division of Aging and Adult Services.  To be put on the list for one box fan per household, call Monday – Friday  8:00 am to 5:00 pm to 336-222-5030  and dial 0 to speak to someone and give your name and phone number.

The John Robert Kernodle Senior Center offers an array of activity for all senior adults age 55 and over. From dinner and lunch socials to athletic events and trips. The Center includes an extensive exercise facility and first class meeting rooms. It is within walking distance to City Park, the Splash Park, Aquatics Center and Burlington Tennis Center.

Covered Dish Birthday Bingo

 


  1st Wednesday of each month 
  1pm for covered dish & 2pm for Bingo 
  Ages: 55 and over | Cost: Free 
  Bring a covered dish for lunch and enjoy bingo after.
