Salary $8.50 per hour
Responsible for daily office operations (answering telephones, scheduling parties, maintaining office supplies etc.) as well as opening and closing duties as they are assigned. 
General knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment and clerical techniques; some knowledge of business English, spelling and arithmetic; ability to type accurately and at a reasonable rate of speed; ability to make simple arithmetic calculations and file alphabetically; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

Salary - $14.00 per hour
Must be 16 years of age or older to apply. Must be able to swim. 
Previous experience either on a swim team or teaching lessons is required. 
ASCA or WSI certification preferred.
Responsible for teaching group and private swim lessons to ages 6 months – adult. Will mostly teach ages 6 months – 8 years. Will work 2-4 days per week per session. Sessions run for 3 weeks at a time. Evening only lessons in the spring, morning and evening lessons in the summer. We will provide most of the lesson plans and skills to teach, but instructor must know skills already and must be able to put together a lesson plan if needed. Starting Salary - $10.50 per hour
Must be 16 years of age or older and have current Lifeguard Training certification by date of hire.
The City of Burlington's Recreation & Parks Department is seeking capable swimmers to lifeguard at Burlington Aquatic facilities. Lifeguard shifts vary and are flexible in nature. Hours vary and are available seven days a week throughout the year. Lifeguards capable of working daytime shifts on weekdays are in high demand during the school year.
This position is responsible for providing public safety by supervising the safe use of public aquatic facilities by swimmers and patrons. The position enforces safety regulations in a skilled, professional, and friendly manner. Lifeguards are also responsible for general pool maintenance and other related duties as assigned.
Participation in mandatory in-service training is a requirement of the position.
